In honor of my 100th deviation I have spent all weekend on this animation. It is a big file and 45sec long (I have gotten some comments that my stuff was too short). I am pretty proud of it and the preview only shows a small fraction of it so please full view.

this is just like! almost unbelievable. uve got a lovely imagination, not just for the whole flow and how it loops back, but also for the angles that u move around the figure on. i particularly like the bit wen that random big black splodge appears and then goes. awesome. really good work

thanks, I really appreciate that, I am glad you like the big black thing, and random is definitely the right word for it, when I do these I don't plan anything I just start doing what pops in my head and for some reason that one came out.

i have sent you these lyrics to one of my favourite songs....do you know it?

Sit beside the breakfast table
Think about your troubles
Pour yourself a cup of tea
Then think about the bubbles
You can take your teardrops
And drop 'em in a teacup
Take them down to the riverside

And throw them over the side
To be swept up by a current
Then taken to the ocean
To be eaten by some fishes
Who were eaten by some fishes
And swallowed by a whale
Who grew so old
He decomposed,

He died and left his body
To the bottom of the ocean
Now everybody knows
That when a body decomposes
The basic elements
Are given back to the ocean
And the sea does what it oughta

And soon there's salty water
Not too good for drinking
'Cause it tastes just like a teardrop
So they run it through a filter
And it comes out from a faucet
And it pours into a teapot
Which is just about to bubble
Now think about your troubles, now

Think About Your Troubles

Yeah, I watched 3 times. :) The only thing I really grew to semi-dislike was that the guy cartwheels down the hill at the beginning instead of tumbling out of control. The things the guy goes through in the movie are so outrageous and harrowing, but yet he's this acrobat of sorts. I don't know, just a thought - I still loved it (especially when the close-ups came and you could see the artistic details). :)

thanks, yeah all the story and meaning did not occur to me untill I started getting comments. I just had him do cartwheels cause it made me laugh, but I do see that it would be more fitting for him to tumble out of control. To me the cartwheels don't represent any acrobatic skill. I always kind of draw myself, and I can't do a single cartwheel and just the thought of uncontrollably launching in to cartwheels was so absurd that I laughed while I was drawing it.

That's totally true, the absurd nature of the cartwheels does fit well with his entire outrageous adventure. I guess getting picked up by a pteradon doesn't exactly happen every day either. :)

i cant begin to say how much i love this animation and your style- i love the movement of it the way it seems to quiver in its motion and the lines dont always connect perfectly but they dont need to. it reminds me of an anime preview i once saw of the same style and i desperately wanted to see it. i also really love the idea and the way youve at times shown his face closely. i see that you havent neglected to show the way his environment reacts to him- like when he landed in the water- and you used a splash and bubbles.
yes indeedy this is magnificent

awesome ~
it's very flowing, unlike some animations. it looks as if i'm looking at something filmed by a camera on a long piece of string, dangling, because of all the awesome angles. i like the style. iuno how exactly to describe it... but it's wicked. =D one of the coolest flash animations i've seen.
 for 100 deviations. =)
