Here is the first of a series of portraits I am working on of my girlfriend and my favorite authors to hang over our book collection. This is of course the Author of so many great books including Slaughter House Five and Breakfast of Champions, Kurt Vonnegut. He is both of our favorite and an obvious choice. I used a photo from the internet as reference and drew on 9 X 12 water color paper with felt tip technical pens and ink brushes.
Wow. Super! Your linework is great! I haven't done much with ink. I'm more of a charcoal/ graphite person, but I'd love to explore that type of drawing. I did draw Plato with a Crayola marker though. I unfortunately haven't read any Vonnegut, but I want to draw him. Is that weird? Something about him.
Or that he reminds me of Einstein.
